This future program will be established for the purpose of ensuring that the next generation of Black engineers are equipped for an ever changing industry
with knowledge to guarantee their success.
BHU Mentorship program will be target elementary and middle school
students and introduce them to the additive manufacturing process
and to 3D design and Mechanical engineering.
It will also look to advise Black college students on critical decisions to make regarding certifications and associations so that they are more competitive
in the industry.
BHU will employ SolidWorks, and its active World-wide users groups, to create room at the table for a more diverse group of professionals .
Ensuring proficiency in 3D software is essential in longevity in what can be a competitive field.
